Can work send me my p45 without a written notice from me?

i was doing an apprenticship at a office based company..where my boss was been very inaproppitate with me,sending me very crude texts..at 1st i laughed it off then it got serious so asked him to stop on more then 1 occassion! i then told my assessor and showed her the texts who advised me to leave and she contacted her manager...i told my manager i think id be leaving but had not give a definate answer and went on the sick...before i cud send my sick note to the company they posted out a p45 and paid holiday money into my bank...i cant get a appointed to c citizens advice untill 29th of this month...while this was going on my boss was on holiday.now the manager of of my learning provider has told my boss that if i was younger they would have taken action but because im 25 they arnt going to do anything and will allow sum1 else to go to there as a placement..even tho she told me and my manager that i was not going back and noone else will be going..just feels like they have washed their hands with me!!! it shouldnt matter how old i am. also my boss was inappropiate wth 2 girls from the learning provider and they refused to come and assess me because of him...
