Why do today's white men take stick for crimes white men have done in the past?

I dont know where you live, but I dont know ANYONE who sits home all day talking about how"whitey" is holding them down. So,unbeknownst to you, non-whites are absolutely NOT spending their time like you stated. There is a lot of discussion here on Y/A about race and racism, this is the proper forum for that discussion, no matter how immature some of the responders are, so you will read, on here, historical facts that relate to the status quo. But in the real world, non-white people are not wringing our hands all day blaming white people, we are too busy working and caring for our families. Having said that, you cannot change history and you cannot deny that history produced the present. THAT is common sense. If scholarships were just given out to "minorities" as you think dont you think more people would take advantage of that opportunity? Scholarships are awarded for academic performance, and some seats are set aside for minorities because historically they have been denied admission on the basis of their skin color. Nobody gets admitted to a university who cant meet the academic admission requirements. "white men dont live in ghettos", most poor whites are in rural areas, you do live in poverty in many areas of this country, trailer parks, hollers in the appalachians, dont fool yourself.....and whites kill each other everyday, just watch the news.
